Exchange Funding Group was founded with the sole purpose of providing access to financial services to both the small and large real estate investor. The company has assembled individuals with extensive experience in all aspects of the real estate business in order to accomplish this mission. EFG has brought together individuals with over 150 years of experience in finance, construction and sales in the real estate industry to provide our service.

EFG provides access to non-recourse lines of credit, up to $25M, to investors to be be used for the purchase of properties to grow their real estate portfolio. These lines of credit are made available to the investor for quick access when opportunity knocks. Additionally, the funds can be used for rehab, including soft cost; building permits, engineering, architectural etc.

When the project is completed, EFG can provide access to hassle-free, competitive rate end term loans with terms that fit the need of the investor. We have done all the leg work for the investor. Gone are the days when real estate investors waste their valuable time with banks and other funding sources that mislead, demand personal guarantees, or change their mind in the middle of the process. EFG is all about providing access to hassle-free, non-recourse and competitive rated financial products and service to real estate investors from non-bank funding sources.

With over 25 years in the Real Estate industry, Mark comes to us as a Director, Senior Consultant, Developer and Industry Speaker with expertise in assessing and presenting commercial and residential feasibility and fiscal impact studies for over 50,000 housing units throughout the U.S. He brings strength in understanding market trends, dynamically communicating fundamentals and building team synergy.

Drawing on his significant investment experience, Mark has personally owned, rehabbed, and managed over 90 residential units throughout the Midwest.
As an invited guest of the Federal Reserve’s National Annual Economic Symposium since 2005, Mark was the 2009 Housing Forecast winner for the symposium.

Scott Dowling
Senior Consultant
Scott W. Dowling has served myriad insurance and financial institution clients across the United States, large and small, over the past 30+ years to help them reach their profitability and growth goals through strategic and tactical organization, planning and execution.
Noted for shifting the paradigm and not taking no for an answer, Dowling has led change by introducing new perspective to traditional old-line approaches. Whether it be to purchase, design or distribute insurance to cover employees and members or to earn non-dues or non-interest income for a sponsoring enterprise, relentless pursuit of growth is the goal.
Dowling has worked for some of largest global insurance carriers in both the employee benefits space, as well as the sponsored/affinity insurance markets. He has also served brokers and third-party administrators, including one that he founded in the late 1990s.
Dowling has volunteered his time with many school and sports organizations in Chicago. He resides in Southwest Florida with his wife and has three college-age children. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and a master of business administration degree from the University of Notre Dame.
